Delivery, setup, the safety check, teardown, and New Jersey sales tax are all in it. We set up in the afternoon and pack away after the film. Already booking a bounce house? The Light Haus can be added to it for $175 so the party carries into the evening. Email us your date after you book and we will reserve the night alongside it.
How the night runs
Showtime follows the sunset.
Projection needs darkness, so we set up in the afternoon and the movie starts once it is dark enough for a clear picture. Sign into your streaming account on the projector and choose your movie over your WiFi.
We are based in Nutley and we travel. If your town is not one you have seen us mention, ask anyway.

Before you book
How does a Light Haus movie night work?
We bring a theater-scale inflatable screen, a true 4K projector with cinema-grade HDR, and 5.1-channel surround sound, set it all up, and dial everything in before showtime. Once the sun is down the picture is bright and crisp, and the projector is quiet enough to stay out of the way of the film. When the night wraps, we handle teardown.
What time does it actually get dark enough?
Projection works once the sun is properly down, which is roughly half an hour after sunset. We set up well before that so nobody is waiting on us. Planning for younger kids? Ask us about showtime before booking.
Who picks the movie?
You do. Streaming apps are built into the projector, so you sign into your own account over your WiFi and play whatever you like. We do not supply films.
Is there a security deposit?
No. We do not hold money on your card, even though the Light Haus travels with professional projection and sound equipment. The rental agreement covers it instead: if that equipment is lost or damaged beyond normal wear, we can charge the card you booked with for repair or replacement, and we will always tell you what we found before we do.
What do we need to have ready?
Four things. A power outlet within about 100 feet, WiFi the projector can reach if you are streaming, a streaming account of your own to sign into, and seating for your guests. We bring everything else.
What if it rains?
Electronics and weather do not mix, so if the forecast turns we make the call early. You choose between rescheduling and a full refund, and you are never charged for a night we cancel.
How much space does the screen need?
The inflatable screen stands 16 feet wide and 10.5 feet tall, with a 6.5-foot-deep base. The picture itself is 13 by 8 feet, a 15.5-foot diagonal. Beyond that footprint, plan open lawn in front for the projector and your seating, and keep the airspace above clear of low branches and wires. Send us a photo before booking if you are not sure it fits.
Do we need a flat lawn?
Grass is easiest, but a patio, a driveway, or a pool deck all work. What matters more is a reasonably dark yard and a power outlet within reach. Send us a photo and we will help you check the space.
